AirClix digitizes using one of the best Nikon film scanners available for 35mm. The equipment, and scanning service protocol ensures quality scans. Our film scans are perfect for archiving, printing, sharing online or presenting at family events.
AirClix scans the smallest film to large 8 x 10" transparencies. Great care is given to protect your photographic film before, during and after scanning. All film is handled with cotton gloves

We scan all brands. Our scanners have "Kodak Kodachrome" scanning mode to properly capture all fine detail and rich colors these slides offer.
Most slides are 35mm positive film held in 2" cardboard holders. Default resolutions are equal to 35mm film scans (4000 dpi).

Negative film scans yield a higher resolution, sharpness and detail than photo scans. For example, 35mm film scanned at 4000 dpi resolution will yield image files equal to ~20 mega pixels allowing 11 x 17" quality prints.

There are many different sizes of photographic film. AirClix scans the smallest (eg 110) to the larger 4 x 5" wide format.
This type of film scanning is mainly more labor intensive due to film size or type (eg. Kodak disks).
A Nikon film scanner is mostly used for capturing digital images from 35mm slides.
For other slide formats, a high end Epson scanner with dual lens and infrared technology (ICE) is used. ICE is hardware based, and able to detect and remove dust and scratches from images during the scanning process.
All slide formats can be scanned.
Film sizes vary from 13 x 17mm to the 127 Super slides (1.9 x 1.9").
The Nikon film scanner with ICE technology is exclusively used to capture images from 35mm film.
Default resolution is 4000dpi and saved as JPG, TIFF or RAW (Nikon Electronic Format or NEF).
As with slides, the same care and attention is employed to ensure quality images.
Powerful, Silverfast© scanning software is used along with the Epson Perfection V850 Pro scanner to create image files in jpg, or tiff formats up to 4000dpi resolution.
Almost all film sizes can be scanned from Kodak disks to 4 x 5" large format, or large transparencies.
Typically, all non-35mm film is scanned on dual lens, flatbed scanners with Digital ICE-4 (color only) up to 4000 dpi.

Thanks Miles for the prompt service digitizing my 35mm film. The quality is excellent. The 35mm "positive shots" in realist format, that you digitized for me, is more time difficult and time consuming but the results were spectacular in 3D.
Thanks ever so much
The service that I received from AirClix was second to none. The personal attention my project received from the owner (Miles) instilled confidence that my family negatives would be safe and secure. I would most definitely recommend AirClix services to anyone. I will be using their services again. Very prompt and very professional, something that seems so simple but is becoming rarer and rarer in the world these days. In a word "AirClix rocks!"
I was absolutely thrilled with the digital quality that Miles was able to get from my old film and with such a fast turnaround time. I highly doubt that there is anything better out there, certainly not in Alberta.
AirClix offered prompt service for digitizing our large family film archive. Miles (AirClix owner) was able to capture excellent quality digital images from our 35mm slides, 110 film, Kodak disk, and even our older medium format black and white negatives. I would recommend AirClix services to anyone looking for prompt and professional scanning services
